Introducing "Child Points": A Visualized Evaluation Tool in the CareWait System
"Child Points" stands as a pivotal feature within the CareWait system, meticulously designed to enhance the user experience and streamline childcare management processes. This innovative tool empowers users with a comprehensive framework to assess and document individual child scores according to specified criteria. By offering a visualized representation of these evaluations, "Child Points" simplifies the task of categorizing and monitoring children.
Child Points is solely available for office users, parents do not have access to this feature.
One of the notable advantages of the "Child Points" feature lies in its customizable nature. Users retain full control over its utilization in their Admin Module of CareWait, with the flexibility to enable or disable the feature within the system at their discretion. This adaptability ensures that childcare providers can tailor the tool to align seamlessly with their unique requirements and operational preferences.
Using Child Points Feature
Accessing the Child Points Table:
Once the configuration process is successfully completed, users can seamlessly access the "Child Points" feature within the Application Detail Page of the CareWait system.
Locating Child Points
Navigation: To locate the "Child Points" feature, users need to navigate to the designated "Child" section within the application interface.
Identifying the Feature: Within the "Child" section, users will find the "Child Points" feature conveniently displayed. This feature is represented by an intuitive icon, typically depicted as a pencil, allowing users to easily add or modify points.
Quick Overview
Clicking the Edit Pencil: By clicking on the "Child Points" edit pencil icon, users can easily view the total accumulated points assigned to the selected child.
Cumulative Scores: The displayed total Child Points provide users with a quick and comprehensive summary of the child's points within the application.
Calculation of Child Points
Initiating Calculation
Accessing the Child Points Interface: To begin the calculation process, users need to click on the designated "Child Points" button within the CareWait system. This action triggers the appearance of a Pop-Up window, facilitating the selection and assessment of specific criteria.
Pop-Up Display: Upon clicking the "Child Points" edit pencil button, a Pop-Up window will emerge, presenting users with a comprehensive table. This table includes options for selecting various criteria related to the child and or family.
Calculating Points
Selection Process: Within the Pop-Up table, users can proceed to select items corresponding to the criteria they wish to evaluate. As items are chosen, the system automatically computes the respective points associated with each selection.
Multiple Selections: Users have the flexibility to make multiple selections under each category.

otal Points Display: Throughout the selection process, the system dynamically updates and displays the total accumulated points in the left corner at the bottom of the Pop-Up window. This real-time feedback ensures users are informed of the evolving assessment as they make their selections.
Saving and Displaying Results
Saving Selections: Once users have finalized their selections, they can proceed to save the assessment within the Pop-Up window.
Displaying Calculated Child Points: After saving, the calculated Child Points for the selected child will be prominently displayed in the designated Child Points field. This feature provides a clear and concise summary of the child's overall assessment based on the chosen criteria.
Configuring Child Points: Role, Category, and Item Configuration
Users possess the autonomy to regulate the accessibility of the "Child Points" section within the system for each of their assigned user roles.
Enabling Child Points Feature:

- Select a specific User Group.
- Check the "Child Points Operation" option.
Item Configuration
Configure the item fields within the "Child Points" feature to suit specific assessment criteria.
Configuring/Edit Child Points:

- Navigate to the Child Points Menu on the left-hand side.
- Select the desired item.
- Edit Name, Code, Point, and Order as required.
- Save the changes.
Recalculate Child Points
Utilizing the "Recalculate All Children" function is essential to ensure accurate and up-to-date child points across your CareWait system.
Access the Function: Navigate to the appropriate section or page within your CareWait system where the "Recalculate All Children" function is available.
Initiate Recalculation: Click on the "Recalculate All Children" function to trigger the system to update child points for all children within your CareWait system.
Ensure Accuracy: Regularly using this function helps maintain the accuracy and integrity of child points data, reflecting any changes or updates made within the system.
Adding a New Point
Navigate to the Child Points Menu: Access the Admin Section of your CareWait system and navigate to the Child Points menu.
Click on +Add New: Within the Child Points menu, locate the option to add a new point. Click on the "+Add New" button to initiate the process.
Input Point Details:
Category - Select what category
Name - Name your New Point Value
Code - Name of the point with no spaces (all lowercase)
Point - Point Value
Order - Order displayed to the Staff
Description - Short description of staff
Category Configuration
Users can customize the categories of "Child Points" based on specific requirements.
