How does the Send Message Function Work?
Answer:
There are 3 communication message types that are Email, SMS (Text), and Voice (Call) available in the Send Message feature. You may trigger communication messages to the families using the Send Message function available in both the Wait Lists and the Application Queues. Below is how the function works together with the preferred contact methods from the Application.
When “Email” send message option is selected in Batch Send Message & the Application’s Preferred Contact Method is “Email” → The message will be sent to “Email”.
SMS
When “SMS” send message option is selected in Batch Send Message & the Application’s Preferred Contact Method is “Text” → The message will be sent to “Cell”.
VOICE

When “Voice” send message option is selected in Batch Send Message & the Application’s Preferred Contact Method are “Phone Call” and the Application has both “Cell” and “Home” numbers → The message will be sent to “Cell”.

When “Voice” send message option is selected in Batch Send Message & the Application’s Preferred Contact Method is “Phone Call” and the Application has only a “Cell” number → The message will be sent to “Cell”.
