Using the Communicate Module
The Communicate module within the detailed application page is your go-to feature for interacting with parents. Here’s how you can make the most out of this module:
Creating a Parent Message

Navigate to the Public Reply Tab:
- To initiate communication with a parent, head over to the "Public Reply" tab.
- This tab allows you to compose and send messages directly to the parents.

Send the Message:
- Once you’ve composed your message, click on the send button.
- The message will be delivered to the parents through two channels:
- Email or Text: Parents will receive a notification either via email or text, depending on their preferred communication method.
- Mobile App: The message will also appear in the "Message" tab within the CareConnect mobile app, once parents click into their application.
Parents’ View and Interaction
When parents log into the CareConnect mobile app and navigate to their application, they will see the "Message" tab. Here’s what they can do:

View Staff Public Replies:
- Parents can view all public replies sent by the CareWait staff in this tab.

Start a New Message:
- If parents need to communicate back or initiate a conversation, they can start a new message from this tab.
Monitoring Communication
All interactions between staff and parents are logged and can be monitored:

Communication Log:
- Every message sent by staff and replies from parents are recorded in the Logs.
- This log provides a comprehensive history of all communications, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Parent's Response:
- When a parent replies to a message, it will appear in the Communication Log for the staff to view and respond.
- The assigned user of the application will also receive an email notification about new parent messages, with the content of the messages displayed in the email.
- Once the staff replies back as a "Public Reply," the parent will see the response in their "Message" tab on the mobile app and as an email or text.

Generating the Report: Navigate to the "Reports" section and select "Notes Report" to view all parent messages and staff public replies, including timestamps and message content.
Ensuring Updated Communication
For the best experience, parents should have the latest version of the CareConnect mobile app. If they do not see the messages in their "Message" tab, it’s likely because they need to update the app to the latest version available.
