Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Is it possible to have payments sent directly to our bank accounts?
   • Online payments with CareConnect requires for a payment gateway which is Stripe. When you have a Stripe account linked, Stripe will have payouts to your bank.
2. How does CareConnect determine full time vs part time fees? 

   • For the Family Fee FT or PT, it is using the 130 hours mark. At or more than 130 hrs for the month is FT, and under 130 hrs for the month is PT.

   • Title 5, Section 17734(j)

3. What are Fee Waivers? 

   • Fee waivers are exemptions for family from paying the family fees. When selected, regardless of their income level, their fee amounts will be $0

   • Example of fee waivers are if a child is CPS, Part day CSPP, etc.

4. Are we able to generate an invoice without having an account for deposit.

   • Yes, Invoice creation or generation is within CCN without the need for a Stripe account. Online payments collection with Stripe is optional in CCN.

5. How can you access the family's ledger? 

   • There’s multiple ways to open the Family Ledger:

     • Either from the Billing module > Overview to open directly to their ledger

     • Or from the Students module > locate the Personal Info for the child > Click on the billing icon

6. Are partial payments on a invoice possible via Stripe? For example, if the invoice is for $200 and parent wants to pay $150 on one day and $50 on a different day for the same invoice.

   • Partial payments on an invoice are only supported for offline payments.

   • For online payments through Stripe, the full outstanding invoice balance must be paid in a single transaction. Partial online payments are not supported.
