Access CareConnect Provider mobile app (iOS and Android) or CareConnect Provider Web.
With Messaging you will be able to communicate with parents right from your CareConnect account. Whether you are on the Web or on the App, you will be able to outreach to parents and inform them of any important news. Once you send the first message, parents will be able to accept the invitation and download the CareConnect app to be able to respond to all messages.
NOTE: if parent doesn't use the CareConnect app, the parent will only be able to view messages via email and cannot to reply to message directly or view attachments.
A. Web:
1. Getting Started
In order to use the Messaging Module you must first set some configurations in the Admin Module:
- Select an existing staff under Users section to view his / her account details
- To learn more about adding new staffs, click here.
- Once opened to a staff's account details, under that staff's
- Profile, ensure the staff has access to any necessary Sites
- Settings, add all the classrooms which this staff should have access to messaging
- Roles, add the Message Module role to the staff which will grant him/her access to the new Messaging Module
- Profile, ensure the staff has access to any necessary Sites
2. Using Messaging
To message parents through CareConnect Web, start by accessing the Messaging Module at the top in CareConnect. Within the Messaging Module, as a staff, you will have access to:
- Messages: This is the starting point to send batch messages to parents, or to view any of the batch messages sent.
- Conversations: This is the access point to view all conversations individually per student / family.
By default, the Messages section is the landing page in the Messaging Module. Here, you will see the list of all Messages that have been sent in the past. By clicking on the Batch ID number, you will see the time and date that the message was sent along with all of the students that this message was sent to.
To batch send a message to parents, click on +New Message. Select what students' parents you want to send this message. Once you select the students, tap on Next to write your message and attach any files if needed.
Tip: Make sure that your parents have an email stored in your CareConnect account. To learn how you can update your parents emails, click here
ii. When clicking on Conversations, you will be able to see and respond to past conversations.
Tip: Parents will be able to respond if and only if they accept the invitation email and download the CareConnect app. The first time you send a message to a parent, the parent will automatically receive the invitation email. If you need to send another invitation email, you can do so in the Students Module of your CareConnect. To learn how you can invite parents, click here
B. Mobile:
a. Please use the Web version of CareConnect to follow the steps previously mentioned in section A, part a. Once done, you will be able to login to the CareConnect app and have access to Messages.
b. To message parents through your CareConnect Application, find the Message tab on the bottom portion of your screen. Tapping on Message will allow you to send a New Message and view past Messages
i. Tapping on New Message will allow you to select the students whose parents/guardians you wish to contact. Once you select the students, tap on Next to write your message and attach any files if needed.
Once you are ready to send, tap on Send to send the messages.
