Based on communication from CDE, the Cost of Care Plus rate will increase beginning 1/1/2026. You may review the communication received from CDE here and MB 25-11. . 

In this article we will review what changes need to be done so that you may continue using the Cost of Care Plus rates. 

Updating Cost of Care Plus Rates 

In the Admin module, navigate to Other Programs. Then, select the Cost Plus option you wish to update

Next, click Edit, navigate to the End Month, update the date, and then click Save.

Adding New Cost of Care Plus Rates

The first step to implement any new Cost Plus Rate is to add each of these Cost Plus Rates per region and provider type. This will only need to be done once by a user that has the admin role:

1. Navigate to the Admin Module

2. Select Other Programs

3. Click the +New button

From here, you are now going to enter:

1. Name - Both the Region and Provider Type for your COCP Rate

2. Code - A single string of letters and numbers that the system uses

3. Amount Type - select Set Amount

4. Amount - Enter the amount corresponding to your region and provider

5. Start Month - January 2026

6. End Month - June 2026

Continue this for all COCP rates that are relevant to the area you serve.
