As of 6/25/25, CareConnect implemented the newly released MB 25-06/CCB 25-16: Assessment and Reporting of Family Fees for Fiscal Year 2025–26 effective beginning July 1, 2025 for the following conditions:
- At Initial Enrollment
- At Recertification
- In the best interest of the family
Scroll down for instructions on updating new or existing family records. If the family is not at initial enrollment or recertifying, or did not have an income loss, you don't need to do anything until the next eligibility period. For policy questions, contact your local county analyst.
- If staff updated/entered income effective July 2025 or later on or after 6/25/25, the FY 25-26 fees will be/were applied.
- If staff updated/entered income effective July 2025 or later prior to 6/25/25, the new fees were not yet implemented and will display FY 24-25 values. Users will need to select the pencil icon to edit the Family Income row to remove/clear out the Start Month. Enter the same Start Month again and the fee pair should update to the 25-26 fee.
Updating New or Existing Family Records
Click here for detailed instructions on populating family income fields. Click here for steps on recertifying a family record. Family fees are assessed based on family size and income. Use the Fee Waiver field to remove fee pairs if applicable, such as for CSPP PD.
Eligibility > Family > Income > Start Month:
The Income Start and End Month should reflect the eligibility period the family was approved, or the date of any income change during the eligibility period. Once an Eligibility > Family > Income > Start Month of July 2025 or later is entered, the new 25-26 fees will appear. The Fee Grid will return fee pairs and SMI's for whichever fiscal year the month falls in:

To update family fee assignments and apply the new SMI, see below:
- At Initial Enrollment:
For initial enrollment, select +Add Income and populate the Eligibility > Family > Income > Start Month with a date of July 2025 or later for the new fees to appear.
- At Recertification:
For recertifications, select the pencil icon to edit and end the current income row as of the last month it applied such as June 2025, and begin a new row with the new eligibility period start month of July 2025 or later. Start and End Months cannot overlap. Once a Start Month of July 2025 or later is entered, the new 25-26 fees will appear. Use the Copy icon to copy previous income fields, or +Add Income for a brand new entry.
- When it's in the best interest of the family:
If a family reports an income loss or decrease, end the current income row as of the last month it applies, such as June 2025, and begin a new row as of July 2025 or later. Start and End Months cannot overlap. Once a Start Month of July 2025 or later is entered, the new 25-26 fees will appear. Use the Copy icon to copy previous income fields, or +Add Income for a brand new entry.
Save when done.
Generate a Change NOA:
If necessary, generate a new Notice of Action for Change under the Eligibility > Student, Parent or Family > Site Print button using the date of the new income entry in the Effective Date field.
