CareConnect Provider - CareConnect Family Account Management
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
- Can Parent A add a Parent B though their profile page on CareConnect Mobile?
- Yes. A parent using the CareConnect mobile app can add a second parent or other contacts for their child.
- If you do not want parents to have this ability, you can turn off the corresponding configuration in CareConnect for your program. This will prevent parents from adding additional contacts through the mobile app.
- Once a new contact is added, staff who have access to the Site and are configured to receive notifications will receive an email notification informing them of the action taken by the parent.
Please provide how we can omit for Parent A to be able to add Parent B. That has brought a lot of confusion in our agency.
This is a configuration available through the admin module. You'll need to go to your organization's settings and toggle Disable CareConnect Family Profile Contacts to on. This configuration also allows the family to update any additional contacts.
It would be nice to control whether Parent A can add Parent B without disabling the parents’ ability to update their contacts as needed. Typically, this family has indicated they are a single parent, and their eligibly forms reflect this status. Would this affect any of the state reports moving forward?
Adding another parent or emergency contact can affect the family record beyond simply updating a phone number or email address.
Because of the potential impact on family relationships, authorized contacts, and agency records, we keep this as a single configuration rather than allowing Parent A to add certain types of contacts while still allowing other contact updates.
If your agency needs tighter control over who can be added to a family record, we recommend having staff manage those additions directly rather than allowing parents to add them through the mobile app.
If the parent previously indicated they are single parent but later adds another parent, the family information will no longer be captured as single. This is why CCN sends a notification to your staff to review and finalize the family information for forms and reports.
Sometimes we accidently send messages to the wrong parent. Is there a delete or unsend feature?
Correct, there is no option to delete nor unsend a message sent in conversations.
Can the Discover feature be disabled?
No, this is a standard feature in the MyCareConnect mobile app. It allows parents who are looking for child care to search for and explore potential child care programs directly through the app, helping them find available options and speed up their child care search.
