The calculation for each of the time-based categories is based on the total certified hours for the week. Please see Rate Reform Guidance and FAQs for additional resources.
- Part-Time ( PT ): If the total hours for the week is < 30 hours
- Full-Time ( FT ): If the total hours for the week is >= 30 hours
- Full-Time Plus ( FTP ): If the total hours for the week is >= 30 hours AND the total hours for the day is >= 10.5 hours
Notes:
The following are notes to keep in mind when reading through the scenarios.
- Program1 and Program2 are identical if Program1 and Program2 are configured to be in the same report i.e. 8501, 8501MHCS, 8501MHCSNon, 8501Non, 9500, 9500MHCS, 9500MHCSNon, 9500Non.
- Gap: A holiday, vacation, break, or non-enrolled day or days in the week
- School schedule will take priority over a normal schedule
- When the school week has a gap, CareConnect will calculate depending if it is a set or variable schedule:
- Set: Calculate hours enrolled per day, then add to determine the max hours.
- Variable: Choose the week with the largest hours, for example, normal or school week.
- When the school week has a gap, CareConnect will calculate depending if it is a set or variable schedule:
- MD: Max Days
- MH: Max Hours
Scenarios for Set:
- If it is a Set Schedule for M-F 7:00 am - 12:30 pm, then CareConnect will generate PT for M-F.
27.5 < 30, therefore it is a PT week - If it is a Set Schedule for M-Tu 7:00 am - 6:00 pm & W 7:00 am - 11:00 am, then CareConnect will generate PT for M-F.
26 < 30, therefore it is a PT week - If it is a Set Schedule for M-F 7:00 am - 1:30 pm, then CareConnect will generate FT for M-F.
32.5 > 30, therefore it is a FT week - If it is a Set Schedule for M-Th 7:00 am - 1:30 pm & F 7:00 am - 6:00 pm, then CareConnect will generate FT for M-Th & FTP for F.
36 > 30, therefore it is a FT week with the Friday FTP since 11 > 10.5
Scenarios for Variable:
- If it is a Variable Schedule with MD: 5 and MH: 25 for M-F 7:00 am - 6:00 pm, then CareConnect will generate PT for M-F.
25 < 30, therefore it is a PT week - If it is a Variable Schedule with MD: 5 and MH: 50 for M-F 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, then CareConnect will generate FT for M-F.
50 < 30, therefore it is a FT week - If it is a Variable Schedule with MD: 5 and MH: 50 for M-Th 7:00 am - 6:00 pm, then CareConnect will generate FTP for M-Th and FT for F.
50 < 30, therefore it is a FT week and FTP for M, Tu, W, and Th since 11 > 10.5
Scenarios for Set Schedules with a Gap:
- If it is a Set Schedule for Normal: M-F 7:00 am - 5:00 pm & School: M-F 7:00 am - 9:00 am and 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm, then CareConnect will generate the following:
Week 1: No gap, school week only, schedule starts midweek, so calculate from max hours. 25 < 30, therefore week is PT.
Week 2: Calculate hours enrolled per day, then add to determine the max hours. See note 3.1.1. 31 >30, therefore week is FT with M FTP since 11 > 10.5.
Week 3: School week, 20 < 30, therefore week is PT except for M since the center is closed.
Week 4: Calculate hours enrolled per day, then add to determine the max hours. See note 3.1.1. 20 >30, therefore week is PT.
Week 5: Calculate hours enrolled per day, then add to determine the max hours. See note 3.1.1. 20 >30, therefore week is PT.
Scenarios for Variable Schedules with a Gap:
- If it is a Variable Schedule with MD: 5 and MH: 55 for Normal: M-F 7:00 am - 5:00 pm & School with MD: 5 and MH: 25: M-F 7:00 am - 9:00 am and 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm, then CareConnect will generate the following:
Week 1: No gap, school week only, schedule starts midweek, so calculate from max hours. 25 < 30, therefore week is PT.
Week 2: Due to school gap, choose the schedule with the most hours. See note 3.1.2. 55 >30, therefore week is FT with M FTP since 11 > 10.5.
Week 3: School week, 25 < 30, therefore week is PT except for M since center is closed.
Week 4: Due to school gap, choose the schedule with the most hours. See note 3.1.2. 55 >30, therefore week is FT.
Week 5: School week, 25 < 30, therefore week is PT.
