Through ChildFolio’s web portal, you can create classes, manage your class, and assign students to your class. To perform any actions associated with managing your class you will need to navigate to the settings tab where we can then select Manage Schools, then Classes.

 

To create a class, click on the Add button at the top right corner of the screen.

 

Enter a Class Name, select a Grade, select the Site, and select the assessment framework that will be used for this class.

**Double-check and make sure the teacher is selecting the correct framework as once it is added you will not be able to change it.**

Add the Teachers that will be responsible for this class. And once you’ve double-checked all of the information is correct click Save to create the classroom.

 

For every classroom created, you will need to create a rating period or put it into another existing rating period. To do so click on the rating period icon.

 

To place this classroom in a rating period or to create a rating period click hen click add.

 

If you are putting this classroom into an existing rating period click the Select button to select the rating period. Select the Rating period you would like to put the class into and then click save.

 

If you are creating a new Rating period you will need to create a name for the Rating period, and input the Report Start Date as well as the End date. This way all of your moments will be organized by Rating Period

 

All students from Careconnect will automatically be put into the unassigned category of the Site. To assign students to a classroom you will need to move them into the classroom from the unassigned or the previous classroom the student was in. To move students will need to navigate to the Students module. 

 

Select the site you are working with and click Search.

 

From here you can move students individually or by bulk by clicking on the checkbox to the left of the student's name. To perform the Move action, click on the Edit Class button.

 

Here you must select the Site and Class name that you are moving the student to.

 

If you are moving from a different classroom you will have the option to remove the student from the class.

 

Once you have confirmed your move action click save and your students will successfully be moved into the target class.
