CCPU has recently introduced a change to the membership fee increasing from 1.5% to 2% effective with the deduction made from January 2024 payments.

CC4 is already equipped with the Union Dues deduction, however, some changes will need to be made by users.

*These changes should not be made until the last export of December 2023*

System Configuration

For creating any new Union Due Garnishments, the user will first need to update the System Configuration setting. This can be done by: 

1. Navigate to the Admin module
2. Search for "Garnishment Entity" 
3. Select "Union Due" 
4. Click on "Edit"
5. Update the Set Percentage setting from 1.5% to 2%

 

 

This will make it so that any newly created Union Dues will automatically be updated to 2%.

Existing Provider Union Dues

For all existing Union Dues captured in the provider record, the user will need to end the existing Garnishment and create a new Garnishment in the provider record. 

Existing active Garnishments can be found by utilizing the "Garnishment Status" report:

1. Navigate to the "Reports" module
2. Search for the "Garnishment History" report
3. We can then filter for "Active" under status

 

With the list provided by running the report, we can then go into the provider's record and end these active Union Due garnishments of 1.5%.

Once ended, we can proceed to add a new Union Due garnishment on the provider record that reflects the 2% deduction.
