This guide explains how Enrollment Statuses and Contract Statuses work in CareConnect, how they differ, and how they interact during the enrollment process.
1. Enrollment Statuses
Enrollment statuses are found in the Basic tab of the Enrollment section.
They are used to track and update the progress of a child’s enrollment.
Important: Changing the enrollment status does not affect the contract section. These statuses exist only to update the enrollment record.
Available Enrollment Statuses

The “Enroll” Button and Schedule Creation
The Enroll button (top-right corner of the Enrollment page) allows users to manually create a schedule within the child’s family profile.
- A schedule is automatically created once a contract is completed in the Contract Tab of the Family Profile.
- ⚠️ Caution: If you use the Enroll button before the contract is completed, and then complete the contract later, two schedules will be created — resulting in a duplicate.
2. Contract Statuses
Contract statuses represent the lifecycle of a child care contract. Contracts can be accessed in two ways:
- Marketing > Enrollment > Enrollment ID > Contract tab > Contract ID
- Contracts > Contract ID
Contract statuses can be changed from either:
- The Basic tab, or
- The Contract tab
Both areas include an Action → Change Status option.
Contract Statuses and Their Meanings
| Status | Description | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Draft | The default status for all new contracts. Users can modify the contract before sending. | – |
| Sent | The status updates automatically to Sent when a user clicks Save and Send. 🔎 If set manually to Sent, the contract cannot be sent through CareConnect. | Use manual Sent only if the contract was delivered by another method (e.g., email or in person). |
| Signed | Automatically updates to Signed once the parent signs the contract. ✍️ Can also be manually set if the contract was signed outside of CareConnect. | – |
| Completed | Once a contract is signed and returned, the user must mark it as Completed in the Contracts tab of the Family Profile for a schedule to be generated. | If Completed is set manually before sending, the ability to send the contract will be lost. |
| Removed | Disables the ability to send the contract and prevents any further status changes. | – |
| Void | Should be selected if the contract needs to be voided due to an error. | – |
Important Notes
🔐 Once a contract is sent, the only status change allowed is to “Void.”
