CareConnect Mobile - Invite ParentsCareConnect Mobile - Invite Parents
Send parent invitations for families to register for the CareConnect Family app for Daily Sign In/Out, View Daily Attendance and Report Absence, and Send Messages.
In this guide, find instructions on how to:
A. Update Parent/Guardian Contact Info

Note: CareConnect Family account registration is only available to Parent/Guardian A and B records.
A. Update Parent/Guardian Contact Info
Prior to sending invites, or if an invite was never received, edit the contact details in the Student Profile > Parent/Guardian record by using the Pencil icon to update the necessary fields such as Preferred Contact, Email 1, and Cell Phone 1. Save when done.
B. Invite an Individual Parent/Guardian
There are two places to invite an individual Parent/ Guardian to CareConnect Family:
- Students > Parent Accounts
- Load the Students > Parent Accounts site, classroom or program to return the desired Parent A and B record(s). On each parent name row, a +Invite link will appear in the Online Account column if they have not yet been invited to create a CareConnect Family account:
- Select the +Invite link. A pop up will display for the user to select to invite the parent via their preferred method of contact. Press Invite.
- The parent will receive an email/text message similar to the images below to create the family account.
2. Students > Student Profile > Parent/Guardian
- Load the Students > Site Enrollments site, classroom or program to return the desired student record(s). Click the child name to enter the Student Profile and scroll down to the Parent/Guardian details. In the selected contact details, press the +Invite link.
- A pop up will display for the user to select to invite the parent via their preferred method of contact. Press Invite.
- The parent will receive an email/text message similar to the images below to create the family account.
C. Group Invite Parent/Guardians
- On Students > Parent Accounts, load the site, classroom or program to return the desired Parent A and B record(s). On each parent name row, a +Invite link will appear in the Online Account column if they have not yet been invited to create a CareConnect Family account
- Click the checkbox next to the name of each desired parent/guardian, and select the Group Invite button.
- After making the desired selections, a system pop up asks the user to confirm; select Send.
- The parent will receive an email/text message similar to the images below to create the family account.
D. Has the Parent/Guardian Registered? Invite, Re-Invite and Unlink Definitions
There are three display options for the online account in Parent/Guardian records:
- Invite - Displays when the parent/guardian has not yet been invited by the agency
- Re-Invite - Displays when the parent/guardian has been invited but has not yet created an account
- Email/Phone/Unlink - Displays when the parent/guardian invite has been accepted and an account created
Invite: Before the invitation is sent to the parent/guardian, CareConnect will display Invite on the Students > Parent Accounts > Online Account column:

Re-Invite: Once the invitation is sent to the parent/guardian, CareConnect will display Re-Invite on the Students > Parent Accounts > Online Account column:
and the Student Profile > Parent/Guardian record:
Users may select to Re-Invite parents/guardians if they have not yet registered after the initial attempt.
Email/Phone/Unlink: When the Parent/Guardian accepts the invitation and creates an account, the Students > Parent Accounts > Online Account column will display the registered email or phone details:
The Student Profile > Parent/Guardian record will display the account registration email or phone, and Unlink.
- Select Unlink to disconnect the parent/guardian from use of the family account,
And the Parent/Guardian record Account Name returns to Invite:
If unlinked, the Parent/Guardian PIN does not change and may be used if the adult is invited to re-register. To change the PIN, select Re-PIN.
Once the account is created, assist parents from the Parent/Guardian record with:
- Re-PIN: Generate a new PIN number for the parent/guardian (if desired)
- Email Sign in Guide: Email the contactless attendance sign-in guide
- Text Sign in PIN: Text the PIN to the parent/guardian
- Or via Group PIN in the Students > Parent Accounts search return list:
