Settings that will configure how Attendance is recorded during sign in / out's

Attendance Capture is mSign’s options menu. Everything contained within this menu will change the functionality of the app. It is suggested to configure these settings before using the attendance capturing modes.

By Classroom

If By Classroom is enabled, mSign will only allow attendance capture for the children in the classes previously selected in the Classes Selection menu. Enabling By Classroom should be done in an effort to prevent children being signed into a different classroom without the intention of doing so.

GPS

GPS is a way to track where children were signed in and out through a particular device. By enabling GPS, it allows administration to check the location of the iPad, and verify that it is not being used improperly.

Camera

Enabling the Camera will automatically activate attendance tracking with a snapshot at the end. This is to help ensure that the correct guardians are picking up or dropping of the children. If you are unsure if you can activate the Camera for usage within the classroom, please contact your Site Administrator for more details.

Group Attendance With PIN

Group Attendance With PIN is a way of tracking which teachers made which changes. During Group Attendance, once a change has been made, a teacher must sign in order to confirm it. Teachers should use their personalized PIN in order to complete this step.

Group Attendance Time Overwrite

Group Attendance Time Overwrite allows for the teacher to modify signature times in bulk. When this option is enabled, teachers may use it by selecting the orange clock next to the word “Signature” in the Group Attendance Menu.
