Access CareConnect Provider mobile app (iOS and Android) or CareConnect Provider Web.
CareConnect > Admin > Attendance configuration allows the user to set up Activities Type and Absent Type.
A. Activities Type
Activities Type are optional where users may create a series of activities to assign to any children's attendance capture, such as School Events including Museum Day, Picture Day, or Academics Events such as Sing Along, Arts and Crafts, or Meal Types such as Breakfast, Lunch, or Health Checks such as Communicable Disease, Diarrhea, etc.
Administrative users may set up activities type following the below steps:

Start by accessing the Admin Module → Attendance → Activities Type

To add a new activity type → Select New and fill out the:

Activities Type: This is the full name of the activity type

Display Name: This is the name of the activity type that will be visible to all users. Display Name can be a short name or code, or the same as the full activity type name

Description: Add any details or notes to the activity type as needed

Select Save when complete

To modify an existing attendance type → Select the Activity Name
- Once added or updated, the Activities Type is available for usage immediately in the Attendance Module or mSign for all staff and teachers.

B. Absence Type
Absence Type is needed where users may create a series of absences to assign to all children's absence captures, such as Excused Absence, Best Interest, Unexcused Absence, etc.
Administrative users may set up absence type following the below steps:

Start by accessing the Admin Module → Attendance → Absence Type

To add a new absence type → Select New and fill out the:

Absence Type: This is the full name for the absence type

Short Name: This is the name that will be visible to all users. A short Name can be a short name or code, or the same as the full absence type name.

Provider Paid: This is a Yes or No selection, where Yes will populate the hours for the absences onto the CD9400 and CDNFS reports under the Attendance count, and No will not
- Enrolled Hours: This is a Yes or No selection, where Yes will populate the hours for the absences onto the CD9400 and CDNFS reports under the Enrolled count and No will not
- Select Save when complete
